If you’re just starting to notice loose skin, wrinkles and sagging along your jaw line, below your chin and in the neck, you don’t have to wait until it gets worse before taking action. Dr. David Alessi has developed a less-invasive lower facelift technique for his Beverly Hills patients who only need focused skin tightening. This procedure, called U-Lift™, provides contouring of the lower face and neck without the downtime of a traditional facelift, and improves the most visible signs of aging, with dramatic but natural-looking results.

U-Lift patients are often in their thirties to fifties. Surgery Overview
The U-Lift utilizes a well-camouflaged incision around the ears to lift and re-contour loose tissue seen at the level of the chin, jaw and neck line. This procedure does more than simply retighten and redrape the skin. Dr. Alessi achieves the most natural-looking results by focusing on both the surface skin and deeper underlying structures of the face. Below the skin is superficial muscle and excess underskin (known as SMAS), a layer of tissue that in most cases, also requires surgical enhancement to create a more youthful foundation and the most natural-looking appearance after surgery. Dr. Alessi uses this excess tissue to contour cheek folds, creating results very similar to a full facelift but with a fraction of the downtime and discomfort.
To complete a U-Lift, Dr. Alessi closes the incisions made around the ear. The scars fade to near-invisible over time. During the recovery period, you’ll be asked to keep your head elevated to minimize swelling. We’ll also review with you any and all instructions to follow during your recovery period to help insure you keep incision sites clean, prevent infection and minimize scarring. You’ll return to the Alessi Institute about a week after surgery for a post-surgical follow-up.
As your swelling subsides, you’ll soon notice a tighter and more youthful look. Most of our U-Lift patients are ready to return to work and other activities in about one week.
